Burgz N Dogz

Jack and Suzan Ashley worked corporate jobs for decades before making the leap into owning their own business. Jack was in retail, while Suzan spent over 20 years in the restaurant industry in both Asia and the USA. Opening her own restaurant or café was always the long term goal during Suzan’s career. In 2014 the opportunity arose and they made the decision to open Burgz N Dogz using the mobile food unit concept. The family run business got started in a parking lot near the Old Mill District. They focused on All American food using the highest quality ingredients for each item on the menu. They started creating a following for their simple, but really good burgers and hot dogs. The goal was to make Burgz N Dogz not just a food cart unit, but a brand that people would never forget. They believed consistency was the key factor to reach that goal. The move of their food cart to The Lot, in 2015, bumped up their sales considerably. Working side by side, the Ashley’s, along with their team have been able to remain consistent with their product and keep their customers craving Burgz N Dogz! Their food is cooked to order and freshly prepared daily inside the cart. Customers of all ages love this food cart. They love the hot dogs because they’re grilled and served on toasted artisan buns; the toppings are classic and traditional just like the old days. The burgers are so simple but so good and keep customers coming back for more.
The pairing of burgers and pints makes the symbiotic relationship a win/win at The Lot. Whether you’ve just finished an epic outdoor adventure and need to refuel with a burger and beer or you are meeting up with the little league team for post-game hot dogs and milk shakes. The small businesses at The Lot thank you for your support and are working hard to keep our customers happy and full!
